Administrators

The administrators of Informed are volunteers who jointly came up with the idea of creating a neutral blogspace for library and information professionals. We are responsible for the running of the site and act as moderators, ensuring that posts meet our editorial guidelines.

Ian

I completed an MSc in Information and Library Studies at Aberystwyth, having previously graduated in English and History at Winchester University.  From 2005 to 2010 I worked in public libraries, managing a number of small and town centre libraries, having previously worked in the private sector.  I am particularly interested in issues around the digital divide, transparency and freedom of information and have written a number of articles on these areas for a variety of national publications.

Jennie

I qualified with an undergraduate degree in science, and went on to do a Postgraduate Diploma in Information and Library Studies at Strathclyde University. Having worked in both private membership and commercial law libraries for over 12 years, I recently had a short interlude on an Open Access project in a university, and currently work as an Information Officer for a government environmental body.

Elly

I completed an MA in Library and Information Studies at University College London, after studying English at Goldsmiths University. I have worked across the public and private sector in various different library and information services.
